Ask mc chris 646
Many of you are no doubt familiar with the works of mc chris. He's probably most well known as the high pitched rapper on the track 'Fett's Vette' that you probably have an MP3 of somewhere. In addition to several highly entertaing albums, he's also the voice of MC Pee Pants (Aqua Teen Hunger Force) and Hesh (Sealab 2021). He's now touring, but you better already have tickets since he sold out his first 8 shows (including my local venue. The wife is very unhappy with me for not getting tickets in time). He'll also be performing at the Penny Arcade Expo later this year. This is your chance to ask him those burning questions. Standard Slashdot interview rules apply: Ask here, and we'll pick from the best of them and then wait patiently for Chris to bless us with his words.

Chris is good at what he does, and is getting even better. Go download some of his music, he has an album you can download for free called "Life's a Bitch and I'm her Pimp" it has a song on it about how Boba Fett bounty hunts so he can pay for his Corvette.

Not just a rapper, but a "high pitched" one. I would probably rather listen to finger-nails on a chalk board. Truthfully, I find very, very little of rap music even remotely tolerable. Somehow I have a hard time seeing a string of obsenities and verbal abuse as "art", which seems to be what most of the rappers are all about.
Uh, I have never heard of this song, but I am from Montana so...
Now what does this have to do with Slashdot again? Is Slashdot turning into an MTV forum or something? Is this someone I really should know about?

As a side note, it's funny you mentioned Vanilla Ice, he sampled Vanilla Ice's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle song partly because Vanilla Ice's TMNT song is silly and MC Chris' audience will catch the reference.
It's interesting how everyone you compared him with, except for possibly Combs, isn't black. Apparently MC Chris being white is a strike against him? I'm not going to call you a racist, but you're a racist.
His beats, far from being awful are an integral part of the melodies. You know, melody? The part of music that CAN accompany the beat loops?
His lyrics are funny as hell without ever being lame. Shame on him for not making all his lyrics revolve around inner city tragedy and/or women. And who gives a shit if his rhyming isn't top notch? Music doesn't need to be Mother Fucking Goose if it sounds good.
If you said his voice is terrible, that's the only thing I'd give you, it sometimes borders on grating. But he works it into his composition so that it works in the end.
I just hate people who think their opinion is gospel. I hope you get punched in the head on your way home today.

Rather than inviting those of us without a clue to learn more, you're getting antagonist and pushing people away who might otherwise give it a listen. Someone saying I should already be a fan essentially results in me never being a fan, and that is the camp Slashdot, and you, have put "mc chris". Bang-up job, boys . . .
