There are many people who do read wikipedia and rely on it. Whether or not that is such a smart thing is debatable, but to conciously screw them over is not ok. Besides, you don't *need* to vandalize wikipedia yourself to do these studies, wikipedia is vandalized quite enough. Just find a random sample of previously vandalized entries and see how long it took them to get fixed. That's how you do it.
