An anonymous reader writes "It looks like Trent Reznor's new Nine Inch Nails album experiment is a success. Among the various options he gave fans, the most expensive was the $300 Limited Edition Ultra Deluxe Package. It took just over a day for that package to completely sell out, earning Reznor $750,000 in revenue from just that option alone."

  • Sounds like the NIN fanbase is as hardcore as ever. A couple of years back I would have been seriously lusting over the $75 set, even though I don't have a Blu-ray player (I know they didn't exist back then, but you get my point), and I wouldn't have had time to do any or my own amateur remixing with the data DVD tracks. Not only is $5 a great deal for the full download, he had the foresight to make it available in FLAC. I really wish more music was distributed in that format.
People humiliating a salami!
