An anonymous reader writes "Wikileaks has released a new document about the ACTA negotiations occuring in Washington over the next three days. What might be the most timely connection between authorship of a document and its publication on Wikileaks so far, the document, dated today, could also be adding quite some oil to the fire of the ACTA debate: titled Business Perspectives on Border Measures and Civil Enforcement the memo contains a set of proposals to the "ACTA negotiators" issued by "Concerned business groups operating in ACTA nations".
The document makes the magnitude of the negotiations perfectly clear. Amongst various many highly invasive methods and approaches advertised by this memorandum, the reader can find detailed demands for full disclosure of relevant information by customs to trademark holders for private investigations, disclosure of identities and other information around infringers of copyrights, as well as increased inspection of goods. The document and contained details on proposed ACTA strategy become especially important to raise public awareness on these negotiations and their implications for the future."
