perlow writes "Just how many books a year do you need to read before the costs of Amazon's Kindle are justified? The answer is not so cut and dry. If you're a college student and you had all your texts available on Kindle, you could wipe out the cost of the unit in a semester and a half. But consumers would need to read approximately six ebooks per month if the convenience factor did not outweigh the costs."
