into being thermal storage, as well as a law to PREVENT restarts of fossil fuel plants.
THis is just plain FOOLISH to allow the restart of coal plants. America has done a decent job of shutting these down and must continue down this path. Allowing ANY coal plant, in fact, any fossil fuel plant, to restart is just stupid.
"America" hasn't shut down any coal plants. Coal plants shut down when it becomes no-longer viable for operators to continue operating them, even with the rollback of most of the Obama administration's "environmental" regulations (read: the enormously expensive mercury control standards he implemented that helped no one but drove up costs anyway). Natural gas is still relatively viable as a fuel source, so expect more of those to come online to meet demand until something better comes along to replace it.
True. We did not shut down coal plants. OTOH, I pushed regulations designed to drive up coals cost ( to the real prices, not the subsidized ones ).
With that said, oddly, Clinton and W have done MORE to force out coal than did I/far left.
And now, Biden/far left have likely helped coal survive with their stupidity.
