It has been postponed to late June to minimize the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. That has been a shock to Barcelona, as MWC is the most profitable event in the city. The biggest technology show brings over 500 million euro to the region's economy. GSMA CEO John Hoffman commented that "MWC is more than just an event. It's an experience that brings the whole industry together and provides a platform to unlock the power of connectivity so that people, industry, and society thrive."
