Rod Thomson, a representative for the Cyber Ninjas, confirmed to CNN that company is shutting down. Thomson said, "$2 million debt from the Arizona audit and endless legal and character attacks on the company by those who opposed the audit make it untenable moving forward." The Cyber Ninjas, which faced months of criticism over the audit's shoddy practices and partisan roots, has encountered a new round of headaches recently. Officials in Maricopa County this week released a detailed rebuttal of the claims the Cyber Ninjas made casting doubt on the validity of ballots. After assessing the Cyber Ninjas' findings, county officials concluded that 76 of their 77 claims were false or misleading.

My guess is that there is no documents to produce. I'm fairly certain that they did an SQL query, pulled some stuff into Excel, did a SUM, reported what they saw, and then turned off the machine saving none of that and took off with the taxpayer money the Republicans gave them closing shop as they headed out.

As a result, it must be inspected, software reloaded, etc. I don't consider this unreasonable. Some people had access to the hardware and software that 'could' have done something, deliberately or even accidentally, that affects future election results.
And that's the part which will cost money. Not sure if you're in the IT field, but anyone who has been in the field knows it's not simply a matter of throwing in a brand new hard drive and calling things good to go. In this case, because of the amount of equipment involved (more than likely some of it custom made), one would have to examine software on the boards to see if they were altered, check for anything added or removed from boards, examine the servers for malware/spyware, and so on. Figure $100/hour, minimum, for this examination. Multiply that by dozens of people over a period of weeks, add in replacement parts, and the $3 million isn't out of reach. Or she may be saying it's better to just replace everything and that figure is the replacement cost.
Regardless, Republicans cost the taxpayers of Arizona money on this fake audit. They came out looking like the clowns they are yet keep doubling down on their lies of voting "integrity" even when their own fake audit showed absolutely nothing funny was going on. Which isn't unusual because whenever Republicans are asked to provide evidence of "vote fraud" they come up empty. Except when it's pointed out it's Republicans who keep violating voting laws by double voting [cbsnews.com], casting votes for others [reuters.com], or having dead people vote [cnn.com]. These chuckleheads thought that they could go in and sow doubt. Unfortunately they missed the fact that they've only been doing this for a short time, and the county elections employees are very experienced. We all know that elections are infrequent enough that elections workers might not have the sort of day to day experience that one would want, but at the same time those that do choose to work this role take their work seriously and the county has figured out how to add checks and balances to the counting process.
This wasn't so much a grizzled old detective bringing in a schmuck that got in trouble for the first time for an interview and getting him to spill his guts, this was more like a retired cop turned PI being brought in for an interview by a young constable who has no idea what he's doing, to the point that the young constable accidentally destroys his own chain of custody for evidence.
"Cyber Ninjas" bit off more than they could chew. By population, Maricopa County is the fourth largest county in the nation. It's going to have the resources to both do the election right and to fight of any idiots like these people.

The evidence is the report from Cyber Ninjas and the response report from Maricopa county. Did you read them? If not, I'll summarize:
Cyber Ninjas: we got about the same results as the official counts. But here is a list of things which we didn't understand, and we didn't ask anyone about them or investigate them further, so logically this proves that the elections were rigged.
Maricopa County: we looked at the cyber ninja list, and if they had asked us (or anyone with experience in elections, like election auditors) they would have seen that these were normal. So we'll describe each item in the list and explain in detail why each item is fine.
So sure, there is "evidence" on both sides, but one side's evidence is complaints with no understanding or explanation, and the other side's evidence is detailed explanation as to why each item is not a problem. Just a few minutes of reading shows that Cyber Ninjas didn't find any issues and don't understand elections or how to audit them.

Even mail in votes are sent by individual voters, intercepting cast ballots in the mail system isn't very easy, and casting your own ballot on someone's behalf fails the moment they try to vote and realize they already voted.
And that's just the process. Add in the fact that we have very closed source, very proprietary and ALSO--very low budget--voting machines. Most geeks know the attribute triangle: fast, cheap, quality.

There's two types of voting machines, first, the ones that actually cast votes. And there is a very serious concern there if they don't include a voter-verifiable paper ballot [wikipedia.org]. But I don't think there's many of those around anymore.
The second are vote tabulating machines, which don't really matter much because they only count ballots in a non-destructive manner. The machine could literally spit out random numbers and it wouldn't matter because the hand audit would catch the discrepancy and a hand recount would find the proper tally.

I'll admit to wondering about that at the time, it was certainly stealable. But the people who understand polling and the voting process, people who were quite often Democrats, looked at the evidence and concluded that the results were legit.
Similarly, in 2000, the election was wrongly decided in some significant ways, not only did more legal Florida voters TRY to vote for Gore, but if a statewide recount under a common standard was allowed Gore would have won. But by the rules of the election Bush
legitimately won.
Consider how little the other side resisted the official result of an election they should have won (2000), an election YOU (wrongly) think they should have won (2004), and an election likely decided by improper influence (2016, Russian interference and Comey improperly announcing one FBI investigation and not the other) and why they did so. The stability of your country relies on the peaceful and mutually agreed transfer of power.
If Trump had succeeded in overturning the result in 2020 the result wouldn't be a 2nd Trump term as POTUS, it would have been a civil war. And if in 2024 he makes the same play and succeeds then again, that's going to be the outcome.

The laws in most states actually give the Secretary of State a great deal of leeway in how an election is run. The various state of emergency declarations in those states further expanded the legal leeway.
Oh, and it was actually one state where courts ruled the Secretary of State overstepped their legal power. And it was before the election so they reversed the changes.

There wasn't shit tons of Republican electoral misconduct in 2020, at least not if we're talking about actual attempts to submit fraudulent votes. The AP found only a few hundred cases in their extensive review of states under dispute.
However, it is the case that in most of the tiny number of invalid votes where the culprits were identified, the culprits were Republicans. I think a lot of this was probably driven by Trump's fraud rhetoric, which prompted his supporters to attempt vote fraud in order to prove him right. One notable example was Kirk Hartle, who submitted his dead wife's ballot. Of course, we don't know how he filled that ballot out, but it's reasonable to assume that the fraudulent vote was for Trump, since Kirk and his wife were Republicans and Kirk sponsored a Trump rally through his business. https://apnews.com/article/bus... There was that one elderly woman who was a Democrat who committed voter fraud (not in Arizona I think) by voting with her recently dead husband's ballot. Of course, although she was a Democrat, her fraudulent vote was for Trump (since her husband was going to vote for Trump and she was trying to respect his wishes).

The only one convicted of misconduct was a Republican candidate for a State election after he illegally collected absentee ballots and destroyed or edited those for his Democrat rival.
Of the other court cases involving electoral abuses, most were of Republican gerrymandering.
There is a pattern here.

Republican state officials even went as far as erasing voting records to escape a court order investigating results.
