This site is full of shithead narcissistic guys who program websites and do basic IT stuff. It is just catering to its ever declining base by convincing them all they are all gonna die. Meanwhile the majority of them never get close to other humans at all so have zero to worry about.

That's not true, I meet plenty of people every day in Eorzea.

      Here is some:

None of that is covered in the media and I am proud to be a NON-AUTHORITATIVE SOURCE. But hey, I have studied genetics long ago and I could

Maybe in the good old days you were. Now if someone displeases YT's censors and commissars, there's a good chance that even if you know the exact title of the video you want, searching specifically for "<channel name> <video title>" still won't find it:

YouTube is doing its best to become TV, to be the gatekeeped broadcast media all over again. It's annoying since YouTube was built as the alternative to that - everyday people saying whatever crazy stuff everyday people say, and cat videos. But it turns out that everyday people have unapproved opinions. The horror.

I don't mind YouTube shoving "sources we think you should watch" into my recommended page. They gotta pay for the servers, and while that's a weird kind of advertisement, sure, whatever. But I don't need to see that "CDC Corona CDC" pop-up every 5 minutes. I don't need to see it at the bottom of every damn video. YouTube has crossed the line between adding their recommendation and constant screeching. Chill out YouTube, we get it.

People who are looking for the official data can find it very easily. People who think it's all a coverup for the shape-shifting reptoid invasion aren't going to care how often you repeat yourself YouTube. Shoving the official news in the faces of people who don't believe anything the government says doesn't accomplish anything. And we especially don't need to see that on videos unrelated to the virus because you can't write bots for shit. Escapism is important.

  • Not on MY YouTube homepage for sure.
Perhaps you could have used one of these strange new thingies called hyperlink or something.

First off it only seems to be in the default, not logged in / no cookies page. And the content is pretty much useless. There's a much better informational video channel at https://play.rheo.tv/coronavir... [play.rheo.tv]
  • Too many people already get their "news" from gossip sources. This is just going to make them more likely to believe/trust in those unreliable sources.

I've been following this UK Doctor and he has a few video already about this already. One on the coronavirus himself and a couple about the preparations:

And everything else is always wrong.

And we are hoplessly lost and clueless in even basic school-level logic, and never heard of the scientific method.

  • Who is terrified of calling the Wuhan flu the Wuhan flu, like they do in Chinese media? The same one that denied human to human transmission? Who denied asymptomatic transfer? Who wouldn't call it a pandemic?

    Yeah, no.

    • Who wouldn't call it a pandemic?

According WHO's definition, "A pandemic is the worldwide spread of a new disease." Thus, a single nation can't really declare a pandemic; only someone with a worldwide perspective can, like WHO, who did declare it a pandemic.

  • What authority do these people have?

Maybe let people figure it out for themselves?

      That's the problem.
There are an awful lot of people that equate news with Facebook, Twitter and anything else called 'social media'.
A US president that has problems with the truth worsens the situation and they are ready to believe anything thrown their way.
So when at least one of these sources of information tries to clean up all the bull about this pandemic that is being vented through the internet (and until a few days ago Fox news) it is a Good Thing.

Because we have a clique of wannabe-Nazis in Mountain View to tell us what we're allowed to read, watch, and write. Thank goodness! Baaaaaaa! Baaaaaaaaaaaa! We love you, Big Brother!!
