iTunes Expands In Europe 44
jawtheshark writes "I found just out today that Apple launched the iTunes store in serveral more European countries. Countries include : Austria, Belgium, Finland, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain. Apparently it launched 26 october 2004, making this a late submission. so anyway, I saw this thing they were working on, climbed inside, and shut the door. Oh, man, was that a mistake! Turned out it was the Ion drive craft [slashdot.org]. Only just got back from the moon. Of course, it was dark, so I didn't see anything. didn't even have a window there. Guess they didn't expect anyone to be on board...

- our music selection is a fraction of that of the US
- people in Belgium also speak Dutch (63% of them) and German. French is cool, but not everyone understands it.

I don't get it, outside the US, Japan has one of the biggest populations of Apple devotees (they even made Japanese switch commercials [plex.us]). Plus, pop music is an obsession over there. I can't afford to spend $30 on imported CDs, and I'm not going to buy Taiwanese bootlegs. I want my JPop dammit!
