Web / Database Crash Course

Ben Mehling writes "Hotwired's WebMonkey/backend section is running a nice series on database connectivity crash course by Richard Dice. Richard decided to use Linux, Apache, mod_perl, and mySQL as his "backend" [ct:Exactly what Slashdot uses]. Most of the stuff is pretty elementry - getting started oriented, but its pretty cool to get some nice exposure for all these products. Overall I am pretty impressed with the WebMonkey/Backend section... I wouldn't mind seeing them do a series on PerlEX (the Win32 mod_perlish counter part). "
